Analyzing Timestamps from Other Time Tagger Devices

Learn why Time Tagger software only works with Swabian Instruments hardware and not third-party time-tagging devices.

Our software is designed to work exclusively with Swabian Instruments’ Time Tagger products. TimeTaggerVirtual, for instance, replays recorded time tags only from our proprietary ttbin file format, which is generated exclusively by our own Time Tagger hardware. As a result, data recorded in other formats, for instance plain text timestamps from a third-party time-tagging device, cannot be replayed or analyzed with our software, and we do not provide access to the source code that defines the ttbin format.
